Qatar Fuel (Woqod) announced that it is will open six new fuel stations by the end of this year and seven others in different stages of design to be operational in 2011. Woqod Deputy Board Chairman and Managing Director Mohammad Turki Al Sobaie was speaking at a press conference the company held today at its headquarters, in the presence of a number of its senior officials on the company’s financial results for the first half of this year as well as its current and future projects, he said that the Qatar Fuel (Woqod) will enter into contracts with outside distributors soon in order to export a complete range of Qatari lubricating oils covering all needs of some countries in the region.He said in this connection that the company’s sales in the domestic market of these oils has achieved good results to double by the end of the first half of this year by 250% higher than it was at the end of the first half of last year. Sobai further said that the general situation of the company’s stations and projects being carried out in cooperation with Qatar Petroleum (QP) and its subsidiaries, that the company will expand in two weeks time by opening distribution centres for its product from gas cylinders (transparent ) in several areas, noting that between 80 to 100 new distribution centres will be opened by the end of this year across the state.- Peninsula
