Suez Canal Revenue in August Climbs

Revenue from Egypt's Suez Canal rose 7.3% from July to US$436 million in August, the chairman of the Suez Canal Authority said in a statement on Wednesday. Revenue in July was US$406.2 million. The waterway is a vital source of foreign currency in Egypt, along with tourism, oil and gas exports and remittances from Egyptians living abroad. – Reuters
