Bahraini Minister of Oil and Gas Affairs Abdul-Hussain bin Ali Mirza in a meeting with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad underlined his country's resolve to implement all bilateral agreements in the field of energy. Bahrain believes that agreements already signed with Iran mainly in energy sector are of strategic nature and Bahrain is determined to implement them, the Bahraini Minister said on Thursday (2 September 2010).
The Bahraini Minister submitted a written message from Bahraini king and said that the two countries have developed cooperation recent years and the Bahraini government and nation are proud of witnessing Iran's significant development and success. During the meeting, President Ahmadinejad said that Iran and Bahrain have brotherly ties and that the global developments leave no impacts on Tehran-Manama friendship. At the meeting, President Ahmadinejad described Tehran-Manama relations as positive and satisfactory and said there is no limit to enhance level of cooperation between the two states. Iran and Bahrain enjoy very deep-rooted cultural and religious affinity and Iran regards the progress and development of countries in the region as its own, he said. - Fars, Shana
