Crude Production to Double in Bahrain


Bahrain's oil production is set to hit 600,000 bpd from the current 262,000 bpd, a senior official at the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) has revealed. "The work on enhancing the production of oil at the refinery is on the right track as Chevron is currently working on different models aimed at enhancing oil production," Bapco CEO, Faisal Al Mahroos, told journalists during the company's annual Ramadhan Ghabga dinner."The Bahrain refinery development project is on the track and Chevron is studying different options to enhance the capacity to 500,000 - 600,000 bpd  from the current 262,000 bpd," he added.-Bahrain Tribune
