Middle East Gas Forum

Third Middle East Gas Forum Meeting

Dubai 27 November 2011

On 27 November 2011 ACG held its Third Middle East Gas Forum Meeting in Dubai’s Burj Al Arab Hotel. The attendees, some 20+ senior representatives of international oil companies who gathered on an invitation-only basis, were briefed on the latest developments and issues related to gas in the region. Specific country briefings on Qatar, Iran, the UAE, Iraq, and Oman gave insight into supply and demand issues in each of these countries. A separate session was devoted to the prospects of shale gas in the Middle East.

The presentations were led by:

 

· Charles Lucas-Clements, a former managing director with IHS/CERA and is currently a director for UK’s Xcite Energy Resources

· Hatef Haeri, the CEO and owner of the ICG Group of companies

· Ramin Lakani who is a regional gas expert with over 15 yrs of experience with a number of Blue Chips, currently with GCA

· Robin Mills, an author of two books who heads up the consulting team at Minaar Energy Consulting

 

Each presentation was followed by lively roundtable discussions with the participants putting forth questions or complementing the views of the presenters with their own insights.

2nd Middle East Gas Forum Meeting

Dubai 30th January 2011

On 30 January 2011, ACG held its Second Middle East Gas Forum Meeting at the Burj Al Arab Hotel, in Dubai.  The attendees, some 20 senior representatives of international oil companies who gathered on an invitation-only basis, were briefed on the latest developments and issues related to gas in the region. Specific country briefings on Qatar, Iran, the UAE, Kuwait, Iraq, Oman and Yemen gave insight into supply and demand issues in each of these countries. A separate session was devoted to the prospects of shale gas in the Middle East.

Executive Roundtable on ME Gas

Dubai 9th May 2010

On 9 May, 2010 Access Consulting Group invited a select group of senior officers representing major IOCs to an executive roundtable in Dubai, where the Middle East’s natural gas potentials and challenges were discussed.

Three leading experts acted as provocateurs and discussion leaders:

·         Charles Lucas-Clements, who recently left his post as an MD of IHS and is currently the business development director of Xcite Energy
